Chyron's Toolbox is a suite of software tools used for the management and control of broadcast graphics. It allows you to configure, monitor and manage LyricX/Prime devices and other Chyron systems on a network. With it, users can manage output channels, templates, metadata and real-time data connections.
It is especially useful for integrating graphics workflows into live production environments, ensuring consistency and efficiency. In short, it centralizes the technical and operational control of Chyron graphics systems.

Main features

• Grabber (screen / application / regions of interest capture)

Allows you to capture desktop content, apps or selected regions and send it in real time to SDI or NDI.

• Playout via integrated VLC

Uses VLC as a clip server, plays videos in various codecs and sends them to SDI/NDI output without showing the control interface to the viewer.

• Conversion of inputs to webcam signal (“Return Signal”)

Transforms an SDI/NDI feed into a webcam signal for use on videoconferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).

• Overlay / graphics / audio-video synchronisation

Lets you add overlays, set audio delays, manage graphic layers and maintain accurate synchronisation.

• New interface and modern support (Toolbox 4)

The latest version offers a modern architecture, support for Windows 11, a dark theme interface, undockable panels and support for capturing up to 4 independent scenes.

Chyron will launch Toolbox 4 at the end of October, a complete update of its video capture and conversion software.

 

Compatible with Windows 11 LTSC, the new Toolbox offers Full HD 1080p output via SDI or NDI, a redesigned interface with dark mode and support for up to 4 simultaneous captures (windows, screens or regions).

It retains essential modules such as Return Signal and Clip Player, now with smoother integration and optimized performance.


Available as software only or turnkey, Toolbox 4 modernizes Broadcast and remote production infrastructure.

Toolbox offers a wide range of audio and video configuration settings, as well as graphic tools for overlays and backgrounds.
