KAIROS Live Production Switcher

KAIROS by Panasonic is an innovative live production platform, based on IP technology and GPU processing, that replaces traditional switchers with greater flexibility and scalability.
Compatible with multiple formats and resolutions (SD, HD, 4K and beyond), it integrates SDI and IP signals (ST 2110, NDI, SRT) without fixed input or output limitations.
Its intuitive interface allows free configuration of layouts, effects, and keyers, adapting to any type of production.

KAIROS is entirely IP-based, utilising the SMPTE ST 2110 and NDI protocols, allowing video, audio and data signals to be managed over a network without the limitations of traditional SDI matrices.

It is a live video production platform developed based on a new concept and innovative architecture.
KAIROS uses the GPU for video processing, thus allowing enormous flexibility in video production. It uses multiple layers with an unrestricted number of MEs, Keyers and a “CANVAS” without restrictions on resolution or format.

Creative freedom of layer-based content creation

Unlike a conventional production switcher, KAIROS allows as many video layers as the GPU capacity permits. User-defined keys and scaling can be set in each layer without any restrictions. Various effects can be added to each layer. Because KAIROS processing latency can be as low as one frame, sports and concert performances can be presented with the ambiance intact and lip-sync is easily achieved.
